Rose in a window
Last night as the sun was setting, the rose in a vase on my kitchen window came to vibrant life with backlighting. I rushed for my camera to take a photo and through the viewfinder I also saw the rose's beautiful reflection.
Isn't it funny the way we often don't notice reflections--that is unless we're actually looking for them. If you want to see photographic reflections this weekend, just head over to Newtown Area Photo for the Weekend Reflections posted there.

it's so good to be looking at and then beyond. the rose is there and also its reflection. the light is constantly changing and there are moments where it is absolutely breathtaking. being available to that is a gift to yourself and then when you share that gift as you have here - well it's a gift to others!!! steven
ReplyDeleteYes Steven, it's all about the light. I'm becoming more and more aware of it in my surroundings. The reflections are following. Have a lovely Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWow ! that's a gorgeous picture and very creative !
ReplyDeleteIt is a very nice warm orange rose. You were so creative to notice the reflection.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting.
Creative! Beautiful rose! And thanks for visiting my photoblog :o)
ReplyDeleteThe reflecting is indeed as lovely as the rose. This is a beautiful photo, Joanna.
ReplyDeleteyou got yourself a really beautiful photo of that rose. Glad you got your camera before it was over.
ReplyDeleteLovely rose and a lovely capture. It's true that a camera sees things that we just edit out in our normal way of seeing.
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's a shock to see the dust show up or the clutter that I never notice at all.
Marvelous lighting. This is a fine image.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous reflections.
