Mexican plumbing

Don't worry--I'm not going to talk about toilets; just the weirdness of the kitchen sink. It's actually quite a nice sink with a built-in drainboard, but do you see that hole about two thirds of the way up? That's the overflow but it wasn't connected to anything. Of course it took a big puddle on the floor for us to realize this. Then we became the mop squad.

It seemed pretty funny at the time, owing to the margaritas we'd consumed before dinner I think. Everyone got into the act--even Maggie.

She seemed to think this was some kind of exciting new game. Anyway, we're a little more careful with the water level when we're doing dishes now.
