Framing shots

Blogs are so great for getting the creative juices going.  I just visited  a blog buddy, Deb and she's posting photos taken through a frame.  This has been presented by another blogger whom I've never met before from Italy.  She is inviting people to share their frame within a frame photos at her blog, The Kat Eye View of the World.  So I took a look through my photo archives and came up with four images.  framing is such a cool way to look at the world.  It even elevates mundane views like the one from my office through the hall and into the bedroom.  Would you like to participate?

  1. I'm drawn to this technique and sometimes photograph a scene using a portal effect. It's like an entrance to someplace secret and inviting. I really like your second shot, which actually has several openings.

  2. I'll have to search. I don't think I've ever done any shots like this - not on purpose, anyway. That round window is intriguing.

  3. Wow, such great takes on the frame! The office door one - the frames just keep leading you to what is beyond. And the Adobe window - wonderful! Thanks so much for participating in Exploring with a Camera! I hope to see you again. :)

  5. Hi Jo,

These pics are all lovely, my fave is the hand made home, the shapes of the door and frame you have captured them perfectly.

BTW Thanks for the comment on my blog, the wheat fields shot is from my bathroom. The walls are a mosaic of broken tiles that I laid as the cottage walls are round in the recess. It took me ages to complete, but like anything worth the effort.

    Have a good weekend.
