These shadows of the tulips in the pot on the kitchen counter caught my eye the other day. I love the way the overlapping ones are so much darker. Don't they create lovely lines and shapes?
I really couldn't stop taking photographs. And I ended up with about 30 images. These are some of the nicest. I couldn't decide which one to post.
The one below shows the entire bouquet. The others are just pieces.
Which one do you like best?
I'm linking this to Shadow Shot Sunday, where people from all over the world post photos of shadows. It's been going for a number of years now and there are lots of interesting images there.
These shots are beautiful!! So difficult to pick a favorite, but perhaps the last. All are quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteI understand why so many images. I love the softness and the the contrast of the darker shadows! No wonder it was hard to choose!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
John
Wonderful photos and I like the first one best.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
You're right, the shadows are fascinating the way they darken when overlapped. You captured them perfectly -- can't pick a favorite. You have much better photography skills than I; nothing I shot comes out crisp and unfuzzy!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely shots of tulips and their shadows. I like all the shots, but really like the third shot of the whole bouquet because of the gracefulness of the composition and the flowing feel. The last shot is nice too because of the differetn tones of the shadows which come out so well. Lovely captures!
ReplyDeleteNice shdow shots.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadows.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Your tulips certainly do cast some beautiful shadows. Now I must go buy some tulips to garnish my table too! Happy SSS.

i like the one that you panned back on and got the whole thing. wonderful shadows.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! I love tulips - usually for their sturdy grace. Your shadows give them a delicacy I've never seen before.
ReplyDeleteNow I would buy that last photograph. I love pictures where the subject pops with a little bit of red. Is this photo for sale?
ReplyDeleteDear Tulips, would you please grace my table too? Your shadows are also welcome! :)
