Geordie and his shadow

This is Geordie on squirrel watch. He sits in the back yard gazing up at the cedar trees that tower above the front of the house, hoping to catch sight of a squirrel. When he does he grabs his deflated soccer ball, gives it a good shake and growls like he's caught one.

It's all in his head of course. We can't even say the word "squirrel" without him going bonkers.

I like the way there's a shadow dog on the grass beside him, also watching for squirrels.

Please visit Hey Harriet for more shadows.

  1. For some reason, the shadow makes me think of those hand shadows we used to do as kids. Wonder if shadow Geordie dreams of demolishing the shadow squirrels, too.

  5. Gorgeous Geordie's so adorable! Even though he eats cute little squirrels. My dog does the same if we mention the word 'Possum'.

  7. Thanks for your comments on my Geordie. I think he is kind of gorgeous too, especially when he's smiling like he is here. I don't think he'd actually eat a squirrel, although I could be wrong.

  9. Oh how cute he is.....I have a suggestion. If you change your blog comment settings to pop-up instead of embedded like this, I think you will get more comments. Some people, like me, have trouble with this type and I usually just skip them, but I wanted to let you know.

  12. I have a fairly long list of words that set off my pup. Flashlight and laser pointer being the most likely offenders.

What does it mean when you have to s-p-e-l-l around the d-o-g?

    He's a keeper!
