Ruby Tuesday

These photos were trying out the macro lens on my little camera for objects other than flowers. In case you can't figure it out, they're of a fire hydrant. Happy RT to all. See more red photos here.

  1. Nice macros! I didn't know it was a hydrant - good thing you clued me in, I would have gone nuts trying to figure it out.

I too like to take pictures of "stuff". Flowers are nice, but somethimes it gets a little old. It won't stop me from doing it and admiring others, but different is good.

    Happy Tuesday!

  2. Cool photos. I love the macro stuff...bet you couldn't tell.

I was watching a young man paint a fire hydrant this morning on my way to tai chi. He made it very clean and white on the bottom and bright fire-engine red on top. I hadn't ever noticed that it was white at all.

  7. I've been looking at fire hydrants again today and they're not all the same. Could be a book here maybe. Fire hydrants of North America. My dogs might even be interested. hee hee.

  8. Can you imagine
    a street without fire hydrants?
