A work in progress

This garden transformation is a huge job but it's moving along at an amazing pace. Yesterday one guy with a bobcat scraped all the grass off of the front lawn, revealing a yard that seems a lot larger than before. Today a crew of three or four are removing the mountain of sod

and digging trenches and laying the pipes for the irrigation system. Plus there are two dumptruck worth of soil in my yard that will be spread around into planting beds and berms. If Harry and I had tried to do this job piece by piece I think it would have taken us months--or even years to get to this stage. Well, let's face it, we would never have even started.

There will be a hiatus for the next few days as we're heading over to Vancouver tomorrow morning to attend the ceremony for a a young friend who's graduating from Simon Fraser University. Then we're taking the old motor home and the dogs up the valley to take part in a flyball tournament on the weekend. So there won't be any updates until we get back on Monday.
