Scrabble Night

One of the nice things about having Jamie home from university for the summer is that he's around some evenings to play scrabble with the parents. He's at work at the bicycle shop during the day but sometimes after dinner we get to sit around the coffee table with cups of chocolate mint roibus tea and have a game. Jamie's scrabble game has improved big-time over the past couple of years of playing with his friends so he now gives us some stiff competition. The dogs get into the picture too, bringing us their balls to toss.

Tonight's game was horrible though. The letters came up in groups of vowels or consonants so it was really tough to make good words. Half way through the game when the board got tight we all decided to just end the game. Sometimes the game just goes that way. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that we've added a few more letters to our cache to allow for more bingo possibilities. We're still experimenting to determine if it makes the game better or worse.

  1. Scrabble night sounds like a blast! I hate playing with my husband because he's French and gets to use both English and French! He has double the words!

  2. Marie, that's just not fair. You need to restrict him to just English words ;)
