It surprised me to find out that a lot of people aren't affected by colour in their environment. To them a room is brown or grey and they don't get distinctions in shade, tone, value or chroma. But for me a room that is the wrong shade or tone has to be fixed. I've been known to paint the walls up to three times to achieve the colour I want.
The wall photos scattered through here are of exterior walls in Mexico. The rest are nature's colours.
All I can say is FABULOUS !
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos today !
Like you I see color everywhere and I too have painted walls many times just to get the right color.
I have repainted the ceilings in my outdoor spaces so many time just to get the right shade of blue to match the Arizona Sky....
cheers, parsnip
Oh Parsnip, thanks. I love your idea of matching the ceiling to the Arizona sky. Maybe someday I'll get there to see it in person.
ReplyDeleteWhat a tasty, beautiful and creative post. I love the names of colors, too. I always loved reading the names on my crayons - and then using the name. Pretty pretentious for a primary-school kid. Veridian...a great word!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love color. I tend to go for bright, happy colors, but really as long as there IS color, i'm happy. I find that winter is difficult for me as the world goes gray (or white) and I miss the multitude of color that spring brings. Thanks for your post today. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteColor makes the world sing to me. I love it that much. Thanks for the beautiful music!
ReplyDeleteI love both pattern, color, and texture inside my home. It lifts my spirit and makes me feel more comfortable. Love those flower and veggie shots!
ReplyDeletePretty. I'm fascinated by the colours in nature. Saw a beautiful creamy white angel trumpet bloom yesterday. It's beauty was enthralling.
