D - Dogwood

D is for Dogwood, that lovely flowering tree.  I have a pretty white one in my garden with delicate flowers but what I'm really excited about is my new pink dogwood.   The name is Satomi and the flowers should look like this photo. 


 I chose my new tree last fall for its form, not having seen the actual flowers, so I can't wait to see what it's like in bloom.  When it blooms I'll post a photo.

    Mine will bloom in May. I have varieties that flower for about 4 weeks, but I don't know what they are!

    I'm glad you got the pink dogwood. They're all beautiful but the pink ones are especially so. Almost exotic.

    Dogwood is a favorite of mine, I always associate it with Mother's Day.
